I can distinctly recall more..but somehow, far too unclear and deep inside thoughts to output !…Seriously LSSP and the creative stuff they came up with was amazing ! …Those were the kind of things you’d watch without switching channels like you do, with ads on..(You dint have the choice then though. No Satellite TV ! )..

I wish DD can go 10 years back in time.

If only a few of these people could actually bring out a real-life protest and not an e-flaming session, Things would be heard so much more audibly.

Sabeel and Kafeel’s Islamic fundamentalism and fanaticism may have started in their Saudi Arabia days or maybe even in UK..but I doubt if you can actually dispute the fact that Bangalore has featured a really major place in their lives.

Not a lot of people may be aware, but there ‘re places aplenty here which instigate and preach young and potential radicals. The bureaucrats and the cops have ofcourse turned deaf ears, blind eyes and paralysed sensories towards this for quite a long time.. The fundamentalist movements seem to be taking quite a course amongst the elite muslim classes too.. The ‘Discover Islam’ banners seem to popping up at quite a few places.

A Dummy’s guide to fucking up your MBR

Ingredients Necessary : Fucked up 128MB RAM relic running Windows XP, Frustration ending with an endeavor to switch over to linux, random idiot to give you Debian 2.2, A CD ROM drive to boot cd from, Random idiot to give you support over the phone.

And the recipe: Boot from the CD first of all and do whatever Debian tells you to until you get to selecting the modules neccesary. Herein, you don’t select X server. Next, make sure you screwup Lilo during installation (ooh would’ve been so better had it been Grub) and finally end up running a prehistoric unix vi commandline

The next step would be to call a random idiot up and take instructions on how to get a newline, try writing, reading into the lilo.conf file and wave head vigorously and shake in horror frantically because you din’t see Windows XP when your comp booted any more.

Finally, ask our favourite idiot to sentence you for the guillotine by running his random dd command, raw writing gibberish into the MBR and screwing things up once and for all. This can be confirmed by rebooting your machine and watching in glee as it boots in an infinite loop.

So finally, you’ve had enough for the day..so you decide to get the idiot fix it and you hit the sack in piece.. THe fate that awaits you at the idiots place tomorrow is only about to disturb your sleep for a few days to come, especially when you have deadlines with random sons of bitches who swear by the pittance they pay you.

So at the idiot’s place next day, you actually realise that your parition tables are fucked up and your FAT is corrupted almost in all probability… Return home the night with random scares from a drunk to brim auto driver.. Fortunately enough, you’ve borrowed the idiot’s 20GB HD (without a jumper thingy though )and you install winxp on it.

The next day, your fate’s being good for a change and you’re acutually able to mount your old file system…Finally, one sigh of relief..but the MBR continues to be screwed…and its a boot failure each time you try to boot from it.

Anyway, the data’s backed up.. and now I’m going to shred each ounce of data on that hd 50000000000 times over and do a WinXP reinstall :-X .. Winedwhores FTW !.. I’m just not uber enough as yet :). aye.. I stick to Red hat or ubuntu
